AKA “Fast Freddy The Clown” or “Fast Freddy The Magician” has a well rounded background in the entertainment industry. Growing up in the church he was selected as the first chairman of the Junior Deacon Board. “I think praying and testifying in front of the congregation brought me out of my shyness and gave me the confidence for public speaking”. He attended Salisbury University on the Maryland Eastern Shore. While pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Communication Arts with a minor in Psychology, his concentration was verbal and nonverbal communication and radio and television broadcasting. He put these skills to use by working at the college radio station WSSC. Having the highest rated show on on the air with listeners not only on campus but the city of Salisbury as well, he moved on to become the station program director. While working as manager he was introduced to a job at the local television station WBOC. He later became the only minority on air personality at the number one radio station in Ocean City Maryland OC 104. After graduating from Salisbury University, he returned home to the Washington Metropolitan area where he hosted his own radio show, “Jazz Unlimited” at WDCU FM90 in Washington, D.C. He went on to become the business manager for one of the top entertainment companies in the D.C., Md., Va. area. There he began to learn magic as a hobby while working as the manager. He started performing as “Fast Freddy The Magician”. He then went on to clown college to learn the art of clowning. He was trained personally by Ringling Brothers’ “Bingo The Clown”. Becoming one of the top entertainers in the area, he performed at many high profile events. He has performed for President George Bush Sr, Mayor Marion Barry, Council Woman Charlene Drew-Jarvis, Civil Rights leaders Jesse Jackson and Dorothy Hite, Redskin Hall of Famer Darell Green, Redskin Art Monk, Redskin Monte Coleman,Redskin and ESPN Analyst Mark Schlerath, Hollywood actor Billy Dee Williams, along with numerous radio and television appearances. Fast Freddy believes in edutainment. “I use magic to get the children’s attention, then I deliver a message”. Often working as a motivational speaker, he has a unique talent for reaching children and adults where others have failed.
